I’m totally stoked to announce the first ever vinyl issue of The Appleseed Cast’s Lost Songs. No secret I’ve been a huge fan of the band since first hearing End of the Ring Wars over 15 years ago (damn!). While Lost may not be as critically lauded as some of the more recognized albums in the band’s repertoire, it no doubt contains some of the choicest cuts in their catalog. For those unfamiliar with the album, these tracks were written and recorded between End of the Ring Wars and Mare Vitalis, a no-doubt fertile period of growth and creativity for the band.
The LP will be limited to 500 half black/half blue, 180gram vinyl copies, each individually numbered via foil-stamping and it will also include a full-color insert. Fans of cassettes can also take part – we’ll be doing up 150 hand-numbered , blue-tinted tapes. Both LP and cassette will arrive with a digital download card. Stream the LP in full on the Deep Elm Bandcamp page.
Pre-orders for both LP and cassettes are now live via the BSR web store. There are also a variety of bundle options available for the completist/adventurous among you. These will likely not be found at your local record store due to the limited nature of the release and the high likelihood of them selling out so don’t sit on this! I’m expecting records to arrive sometime in mid-July and they’ll ship shortly after. While you wait, get your butts out to catch the band melting faces on their Mare Vitalis 15th anniversary tour. I’ll be seeing you on a few of those dates!
